This Privacy Policy explains how Vincel Tech LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Veriq mobile application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Veriq is a fact-checking tool. We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide and improve your experience.

1.1 Claims and Queries When you use the App, you submit text, URLs, or images for verification. These inputs are processed to return a verdict, truth score, and supporting sources. We do not use your submissions for advertising, sell them to third parties, or share them publicly without your explicit consent.

1.2 Device and Technical Information We automatically collect certain technical information to ensure the App functions correctly, including:

• Device model and operating system version
• App version
• Crash reports and performance data
• General usage patterns such as features used and session length

This data is collected in depersonalized or aggregated form and is not used to identify you individually.

1.3 Payment Information If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed entirely through the Apple App Store in accordance with Apple’s terms and policies. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details.

1.4 Account Information If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address solely for account identification, security alerts, and optional product updates. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking “Unsubscribe” in any message or by deleting your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and verify your submitted claims using AI and live source data
• Improve the accuracy and quality of our verification technology
• Maintain and improve App performance and stability
• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services to support its functionality:

• OpenAI — used to process and analyze claims and return verification results
• Tavily — used to search and retrieve live sources relevant to submitted claims
• Supabase — used to store verification results and account data securely
• Adapty — used to manage in-app subscription purchases and renewal logic
• Apple App Store — for payment processing

These providers may receive limited technical or usage data to perform their functions. They are not permitted to use this data for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your data is stored securely using encrypted cloud storage. We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide the App’s services or as required by applicable law. When data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted.

5. Data Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. By using the App, you acknowledge this inherent risk.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
